BTS Staff

Sally is the main link to BTS Trustees and Honorary Officers and is responsible for strategy and planning, stakeholder relationships, and overall resource management, and is the main contact, along with the Honorary Secretary, for our Specialist Advisory Groups.

Billie is responsible for creating and delivering our communications to members, directing our online activities, and promoting the work of the Society.

Deborah supports the main governance infrastructure within the Society, working alongside the Chief Executive. She services meetings of the Board of Trustees and Council and is responsible for the Declaration of Interest Scheme and the annual election processes for Officers, Council, Committees and Advisory Groups.

Bernice supports the work of the Science and Research, Education and Training, and Workforce and Service Development Committees, and provides assistance as needed to the clinical programmes section of BTS head office. She also provides administrative assistance for the activities of the new BTS Global Health Group.

Amanda is responsible for financial management of the Society, and is the lead for the annual financial audit.

Angela joined BTS in August 2025 as Head of Operations. She manages the Society's website, IT and building, suppliers and related matters. She is also responsible for risk assessment, management and mitigation; work planning; and Iiaison between suppliers of digital services and users when project work is being specified and delivered.

Suzanne coordinates clinical programmes, including the Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis Clinical Advice Service, and the Society's Joint Tuberculosis Committee.

Rajeev spearheads the Society's developing digital strategy and ensures that the Society is well placed for future developments.

Maria manages the BTS Lung Disease Registry Programme which includes responsibility for the day to day operation of the Registry, liaison with Registry participants and support for the Lung Disease Registry Steering Group.

Kate will be on maternity leave until early 2027. Kate leads on the organisation and management of the BTS Summer and Winter Meetings.

Chris is responsible for the day to day management of the BTS audit programme and provides support for the Quality Improvement Committee and related activities.

Rosie leads the Society’s communication activities as a member of the Senior Management Team. She is responsible for developing and delivering an effective communications strategy to support members, promote the work of the Society and ensure opportunities for joint working are maximised.

Kirstie is responsible for managing the Clinical Guideline and Quality Standards Programme and implementing GRADE methodology into the BTS Clinical Guideline production procedure.

Louise is part of the Senior Management Team and works closely with BTS Committees. She leads on key strategic projects, most notably in relation to workforce and education.

Ranjit provides support for the IT systems which underpin the Society's activities - networks, hardware and software. He has responsibility for in-house audio-visual provision and other office support systems, and liaises closely with the Society's IT associates and website providers.

Miguel leads on the Society’s range of clinical programmes, including guidelines, quality standards, clinical audit, registries and quality improvement. He works closely with the Standards of Care and Quality Improvement Committees, in addition to managing relationships with NICE and SIGN.
