National Adult Community Acquired Pneumonia Audit 2018/19
The BTS National Adult Community Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) Audit took place in December 2018 - January 2019. Previous BTS CAP audits identified deficiencies and variation in care, and the 2018/19 audit aimed to further investigate outcomes and variation of care by linking data from the audit to HES and ONS data held by NHS Digital. BTS received approval from the Health Research Authority Confidential Advisory Group (CAG) under Section 251 of the NHS Act 2006 to collect patient identifiable data without consent in England and Wales. A copy of the approval letter and audit documentation are available below.
