BTS Medal
The BTS Medal recognises a distinguished individual who has made outstanding clinical or scientific contributions to respiratory medicine or healthcare in the UK. This honour recognises that the recipient’s work has resulted in significant benefit to patients and inspired peers.
Each year, the BTS Nominations Committee selects the winner of the BTS Medal from nominations submitted by members. The Medal is presented to the winner at the BTS Winter Meeting. Nominations are welcomed for any member of the respiratory team, whatever their profession.

We are currently seeking nominations from members for the 2026 BTS Medal. The deadline to submit nominations is 11:59pm on Tuesday 1 September 2026.
