Following the success of the first MDR-TB Clinical Advice Service webinar (2024) we repeated the webinar with new case content. The free webinar presented a simulation of one of the virtual MDTs that run each month as part of the BTS MDR-TB Clinical Advice Service.
Three fictional cases, two adult and one paediatric, were discussed, and topics covered included:
- MDR-TB treatment principles and drug toxicity management
- MDR-TB new regimens for treatment
- MDR-TB with End Stage Renal Failure (ESRF)
- MDR-TB in children
- MDR-TB Public Health concerns
- Other complex TB
