Thorax is our respected and widely disseminated journal. It is published jointly with BMJ, and is available to BTS members in many membership categories.

Thorax has an Impact Factor of 10.8 (2024).

BTS members who receive Thorax as part of their membership subscription can also access articles online for free. Make sure you are logged into the BTS website and from the list of options in ‘My BTS’ select ‘Thorax’.

BMJ Open Respiratory Research is the open access companion journal to Thorax and is co-owned by BTS and BMJ. It is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal.
