Learning objectives
- To involve the respiratory community in the national drive to improve outcomes through
understanding innovations in respiratory care. Focus will be given to a review of respiratory care delivered across the whole respiratory pathway and the implementation science to deliver change including the equitable roll out of biologics. - To understand the emerging data on the intersection of health inequality and respiratory outcomes and how service models need to evolve to address these.
- To explore innovations in improving quality of care in novel settings including virtual wards and emergency departments.

BIOGRAPHY
Alice Turner is a professor in respiratory medicine at University of Birmingham with clinical work focussing on AATD and COPD, and postgraduate qualifications in medical education, leadership and quality improvement (QI). Her roles related to healthcare improvement have included membership of the BTS QI (2019-22) and standards of care committees (2023-), directorship of the NIHR Midlands Patient safety Research Consortium (PSRC), QI lead at the National Respiratory Audit Programme (NRAP) and more recently clinical lead for NRAP.
Professor Alice Turner
