Respiratory Clinical Research Training Day with BTS, ACPRC, ARNS and ARTP

This Respiratory Clinical Research Training Day is a full-day meeting in Birmingham, jointly hosted by BTS, ACPRC, ARNS and ARTP.

This event is specifically for nurses, physiotherapists, healthcare scientists, pharmacists and other members of the multidisciplinary respiratory team who are interested in becoming involved in respiratory research.

  • The faculty of friendly and approachable clinical academics will explore in small groups:

    • Routes into research
    • What research area is best for you
    • How to develop a stellar CV/PhD application

    You will hear from colleagues at the start of their research careers, as well as those with established international research portfolios, giving you a realistic and inspiring picture of what a research career can look like. The programme includes plenty of time for discussion and networking.

    Please note this event is not suitable for those already registered for a PhD.

  • This training day is open to non members as well as BTS members. The expectation is that applicants will be a member of either BTS, ACPRC, ARNS or ARTP. If not, please confirm this in the application form.

    How to apply for a place

    During the booking process you will be asked to submit a short statement and to submit a deposit of £50. Deposits will be refunded after you attend the event and travel grants are available to support your attendance.

    Applications will close on 2 September, or earlier if the event is oversubscribed. Places are limited to 40. If you are not offered a place this time, we will refund your booking deposit.
