Preparing for the Respiratory SCE 2025 Short Course Recording

This course was developed specifically for Specialist Trainees in Respiratory Medicine who were preparing to take their SCE.  A pass in the SCE is essential for obtaining the CCT in Respiratory Medicine.

The programme was designed so the course could be delivered over one day on a virtual platform. The sessions were dedicated to removing some of the myths surrounding the exam and giving clear guidance to delegates about how to maximise their potential in the exam and how to go about preparing for it.

The course involved an explanation about how the questions were written and chosen, how the pass rate was decided, the blueprint of the exam and the outcomes. Delegates were also provided with valuable hints and tips on how to prepare for the exam.

The final session focused on a ‘mock examination’ which included a series of genuine and plausible questions.

Each session included practice questions to provide delegates with a true reflection of what to expect in the SCE.
