Introduction to Respiratory Medicine

Respiratory medicine is a diverse and rewarding career choice. This course is for anyone considering respiratory medicine or at the very start of respiratory training. 

Delegates will engage in hands-on practical workshops and learn more about respiratory career pathways. Our faculty will also share tips for applying to respiratory medicine.

  • IMT 1-3, or
  • ST4.

  • During this course you will have the opportunity to undertake hands-on practical procedures as well as gain insight into the day-to-day experiences of life working in respiratory medicine.

    Our expert faculty will discuss various respiratory career pathways, including research, as well as discussing hints and tips for applying for respiratory medicine.

    There will be time for questions and networking with our faculty.

    Learning outcomes

    • To explore the breadth and impact a career in respiratory medicine offers using case-based patient focused examples.
    • To introduce practical respiratory procedures using simulation-based teaching.
    • To understand the requirements for applying to respiratory medicine and what you can do to support your application.
  • The fee for this course is £200

    Payment options

    If you are paying for the course yourself, payment must be made by debit / credit card at the time of booking.

    If your employer is paying on your behalf, you can either pay by card or select the ‘Pay by invoice’ option in the booking form. You will then need to send us a purchase order from your employer at least two weeks before the event. If this is not received on time, we will have to cancel your place.
