The Professional Development Framework for Pharmacists Working in Respiratory Medicine - Public Consultation

The Draft BTS Professional Development Framework for Pharmacists Working in Respiratory Medicine provides guidance on the proposed knowledge, skills and capabilities that pharmacists should develop to work effectively within the wider respiratory team and to support people living with respiratory diseases.

The framework has been developed using a structured approach based on outcomes, capabilities, and descriptors, aligned with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) credentialing process. Together, these components provide a clear, developmental pathway for pharmacists progressing from post-registration through to advanced and consultant-level practice.
