BTS Abstract Prizes 2022

The Abstract Prizes 2022 have seen applicants presenting their work in two categories: Improving quality in patient care and Improving quality and innovation in respiratory education and training.

We are delighted to announce Emma Toplis, of the Royal Derby Hospital as the winner of the Abstract Prize 2022 for Improving quality in patient care with her work:Improving the management of tobacco dependence.

We would also like to congratulate the other finalists in this category: Giulia Ghidoni, Peter Corry, Joseph Winterton, Christopher Whitehurst and Lisa Nwankwo.

The winner in the category Improving quality and innovation in respiratory education and training is Lisa Emmett of Leeds Teaching Hospital, for her abstract: The Home Mechanical Ventilation for Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Educational Website.

We would also like to congratulate the other finalists in this category: Nyuk Cho Lee, Craig Dyer, Sachin Ananth, Andrew Elrick and Jessica Bradley.
