BTS COVID-19 Organisational Survey Report
We first surveyed UK hospitals in summer 2020 to gather information on changes made to respiratory services over the 4 months from March – June 2020, specifically in relation to arrangements for follow up of COVID-19 patients.
We surveyed UK hospitals again in summer 2021 to expand on these findings for the second wave of the pandemic. The findings of this survey may reflect the maximum level of mitigation possible from UK respiratory services during a viral pandemic without the benefit of vaccination and therefore provide a basis for preparedness planning for the next pandemic.
