British Thoracic Society (BTS) a finalist in the 2023 Association Excellence Awards

BTS is proud to be a finalist in the Association Excellence Awards for 2023 in two categories.

BTS is well-known for the annual BTS Winter Meeting, and is a finalist in the category of the 2023 Best Longstanding Association Event (over 800 attendees). The upcoming Winter Meeting on 22-24 November 2023 will mark 40 years since the first BTS Winter Meeting took place.

Off the back of the recent 2022 collaboration with ITN Business on the Lungs Matter Programme, BTS is also a finalist in the category of Best Association Partnership or Collaboration. This recognition takes place in the anticipation of Respiratory Futures again partnering with ITN Business this year in the creation of a new programme titled ‘Breathing Better Together.’ Similarly to 'Lungs Matter', 'Breathing Better Together' will explore game-changing innovations and multi-disciplinary cross collaboration in respiratory healthcare. Presented by Lukwesa Burak from the ITN London studio, ‘Breathing Better Together’ will also feature stories of patients experiencing respiratory disease and showcase the clinicians and researchers working to help them. The film will launch 23rd November at the British Thoracic Society’s Annual Winter Meeting 2023.

Winners of the 2023 Association Excellence Awards are to be announced in early November.
