BTS Clinical Grand Round 2022

The Clinical Grand Round (CGR) is one of the most awaited and well attended occasions on the Summer Meeting programme, year after year.

The CGR welcomes applications from all members of the respiratory team, specialist trainee or AHP, wherever they are based (however they are not open to post-CCT doctors). Entrants to to the competition must present a clinical case that can provide the audience with key learning points.

After a virtual edition of the competition in 2021, this year, the three finalists returned to present their case live in front of a full room and a panel of experts.

It is with great pleasure that we can announce Dr Adhnan Omar of Lewisham Hospital as the winner of this year edition of the CGR, for his case: Utilising focused bedside ultrasound in the diagnosis of an unexplained persistent type 2 respiratory failure.
