Call for BTS Council Members

The Society is seeking volunteers to join Council. There are 6 vacancies, one of which is reserved for a member who is within 10 years of their primary qualification or time in respiratory practice at the time of election. The successful applicants will join Council for a 3-year term from November 2025. The Council is a group of elected members who provide advice to the Board about policy matters and serve on a main BTS Committee of their choice. Council meets twice a year in March and October.

All nominations for Council membership must be proposed and seconded by members of the Society and be with the consent of the nominee who should indicate acceptance of the nomination. Each nomination should be accompanied by a brief (fewer than 6 lines) synopsis of the nominee’s career and stating why he or she should be elected, and what skills and experience they will bring to Council.

If an election is necessary, an online election among all BTS members will be held and further details will be circulated to the membership at that time.
