BTS/ACPRC Guidelines for physiotherapy management of the adult, medical, spontaneously breathing patient

The BTS/ACPRC guideline for the physiotherapy management of the adult, medical, spontaneously breathing patient was published in 2009.  Since that date, more recent guidelines and other relevant information have been published in related areas and links are provided from this webpage.

As the 2009 BTS/ACPRC guideline was published more than five years ago, it is now marked as archived. The Guideline content/recommendations have not been checked to confirm continued validity at the date of archival and readers should bear in mind that new evidence may have been published since the Guideline was produced.  Three guideline appendices (1, 5, 11) have been withdrawn.
