BTS members urged to question their MP and local candidates

ELECTION SPECIAL: 4 key issues to take to your local MP and candidates

With Parliament now dissolved for the 2017 General Election on 8 June, we publish our ‘four point plan’ for members to use in communications with their MPs and candidates to achieve better lung health for all – in full here and summarised below:

  1. Address gaps in the workforce
  2. Publish the Tobacco Control Plan
  3. Act on air pollution
  4. Produce a national strategy on early diagnosis of lung disease

We would be very grateful if as many members as possible could take the opportunity to raise these key issues with candidates so they are aware of some of the pressing issues compromising the respiratory health of the nations.

A template letter is available here in word format– please do adapt to add some local detail as you see fit, but please send it!
