Vacancies on BTS Specialist Advisory Groups
If BTS Committees are the powerhouses of the Society's activities, our Specialist Advisory Groups (SAGs) provide horizon scanning and access to specialist advice. SAGs do not operate independently off the BTS governance framework and cannot instigate work programmes without prior discussion and approval by the Board of Trustees.
SAGs were first established in 2007. Each has the same remit:
- to advise the Society on matters which influence the care of patients with specific respiratory disease(s)
- to provide a pool of expert opinion to which the Society can refer when it receives requests for advice and in response to consultations
- to provide the means by which members with specific interests can find common cause and share views and experiences. This is why each SAG holds an Open Meeting during the BTS Winter Meeting each year.
You must be a BTS member to apply for these vacancies.
