Pulmonary Rehabilitation Quality Improvement Advisory Group

For the last three years the BTS Pulmonary Rehabilitation Quality Improvement Advisory Group, chaired by Professor Sally Singh has made a significant contribution to the development of the national PR accreditation scheme and has developed a number of short courses and related QI activities.  BTS enjoys an effective working relationship with the RCP London's Naitonal COPD, Asthma and PR audit (NACAP) programme and related QI activities and we are all delighted at the emphasis on Pulmonary Rehabilitation in the NHSE Long Term Plan published on 7th January 2019.

So that we are ready to face the challenges of the next few years we have reviewed the remit and re-structured the membership of the Group.   We are looking to recruit to the following positions:

  • Chair
  • 4 other members.

One place is being reserved on the group for a representative of ACPRC, and we are also seeking a lay member via a separate exercise.

To apply you MUST be a BTS member and be able to demonstrate that you have several years experience in delivering Pulmonary Rehabilitation.  You should send a short c.v. and let us know what you feel you can contribute to our work.  You will probably be required to attend two meetings a year minimum, one of which will be during the BTS Winter Meeting, and there will be some contact in between times by teleconference and/or webex.
