Clinical Research Fellow in Respiratory Medicine,School of Molecular and Clinical  Medicine
Edinburgh

£31,523 - £46,708

Applications are invited from medical graduates to become a key member of the UK Cystic Fibrosis Gene Therapy Consortium (www.cfgenetherapy.org.uk), an enthusiastic and dynamic team of clinicians and scientists developing gene therapy for cystic fibrosis. You will have responsibility for delivering gene therapy to patients with cystic fibrosis in the first ever multidose trial. Your research will contribute to our programme of testing the efficacy and safety of gene therapy in cystic fibrosis patients, and will benefit from the strong local scientific expertise and infrastructure in this area. The post is based primarily in the Scottish Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service and the adjacent Molecular Medicine Centre, (School of Molecular and Clinical Medicine) at the Western General Hospital.

This exciting post will provide the opportunity for a further degree as well as experience in research techniques at the forefront of respiratory medicine. The post is available from August 2012 for 19 months in the first instance.
