Most of the Society's website is accessible to all visitors. However, we realise that content is written with different audiences in mind and we are concerned to make these pages as relevant as we can for those who have a respiratory condition, and for general visitors to the website.
These pages are a "work in progress". The Society has a Public Liaison Committee which is advising us about the format and content of this site. The Committee is made up of members of the public and will shortly publish an on-line "Guide to Making the Most of the Respiratory Consultation". This will provide information and advice for the patient and the clinician.
You can find information in these pages for patients and carers. We have presented information in table format and listed according to topic in the first column. You can visit the Society's own resources or click through the links to other organisations. Click on the relevant link(s) in the table below to access the page(s). When available, other relevant websites are listed.
Please note that BTS cannot provide clinical advice to individual enquirers, and does not provide recommendations or referrals to indvidual specialists. The British Lung Foundation and Asthma UK provide helplines which are staffed by trained advisers.
