Bronchiectasis Guideline and Quality Standards

Draft BTS Quality Standards for Clinically Significant Bronchiectasis in Adults are available for public consultation from 8 May - 11 June 2012.

Erratum

The formula given at the top of column 2, page 50 should read:
 
Cr Cl (ml/min)= (140-age (years)*IBW (Kg)/ Serum creatinine (micromol/L)*1.23 (male) or * 1.04 (females)
Use IBW unless weight is less than IBW and then use actual body weight

Bronchiectasis Self Management Plan

A model Self Management Plan for bronchiectasis patients has been developed and is available to download here.

The template is available for use across the UK, and may be adapted for local use. Requests for a Word version of the self management plan (which can be amended for local use) should be sent to:  bts@brit-thoracic.org.uk  
Feedback on the self management plan is also invited and should also be directed to the email address above.
