Emerging Interface between Acute Respiratory Medicine & Critical Care

Dates: 4 & 5 October 2012
Venue: Etc Venues, Hatton Garden, London (MAP)

This two-day course has been organised by Dr Nick Hart (St Thomas’ Hospital, London) and Dr Mark Griffiths (Royal Brompton Hospital).

The course aims to highlight the emerging interface between acute respiratory medicine and critical care medicine and provide a complete overview of respiratory critical care for both the acute respiratory clinician and the respiratory intensivist. There will also be a review of recent developments in the management of common acute respiratory conditions and NIV as well as a comprehensive update on managing the septic patient.

Case discussions will be used to illustrate problems that may call for a respiratory consult on the ICU.

The course is primarily aimed at respiratory consultants and trainees and is also suitable for acute medicine, GIM and anaesthetic consultants and trainees as well as nursing and therapy staff involved in acute medicine.

Course fee:  £360 for BTS members,  £540 for non-BTS members.
