Venue:
PGEC Nottingham City Hospital  (MAP)

This BTS Short Course, organised by Dr Jeremy Brown (UCL) and Dr Wei Shen Lim (Nottingham) has been developed to help chest physician’s recognise and treat common lung infections, particularly where management is not straightforward such as infection with less common pathogens of the pleural space and in immunocompromised hosts.  The key objectives of the course are as follows:

    •    Highlight areas where evidence is lacking
    •    Update clinicians on emerging infections
    •    Update clinicians on advances in diagnostics, epidemiology and treatment of unusual respiratory infections

The course will also provide a platform for networking with the aim of increasing the profile of Respiratory Infections as a specialty area within Respiratory Medicine.

The course is aimed at Specialist Registrar or Consultant Respiratory (or infectious disease / GIM) Physicians and will also be relevant to Specialty Trainees interested in Respiratory Medicine or Infectious Disease.

Course fee:  £180 for BTS members, £315 for non-members.
