Promoting and disseminating research is one of the Society's key objectives and it works to meet this objective in a number of ways:

The Society publishes the learned journal Thorax in partnership with the British Medical Journal;

The annual BTS Winter Meeting is the showcase for the presentation, discussion and dissemination of respiratory research within the UK and beyond.  Information about the 2008 Winter Meeting can be found here.

The Society supports the work of the multi-agency UK Respiratory Research Collaborative (UKRRC).
