Working for Healthier Lungs

The British Thoracic Society is a registered charity.  Our objective is to improve the standards of care of people who have respiratory diseases. Welcome to our website.

This website receives many thousands of visits a day and has been completely revised since the beginning of 2008.  Visitors are most interested in the pages that contain BTS Guidelines and associated audit tools and educational activities, and our Winter and Summer Meetings pages.  Guidelines, audit tools and related information are all now contained in the Clinical Information section listed on the left toolbar, by disease/treatment area.  Please visit the Education Hub for details of the Society's short courses and Summer and Winter Meetings, and to book on-line.

Our web pages also contain information of interest to people who have respiratory diseases, and we hope that the general visitor will find useful information, as well as links to dedicated sites run by lung charities.

Please explore the site by using the buttons on the left and let us have your  feedback via the "Contact Us" button at the top of the page.

Members will find more information by logging on to the members' site.
