BTS is involved in a joint initiative with the National Council for Palliative Care (NCPC) to better understand services for those with non-malignant disease. A survey of specialist palliative care for those with long term respiratory diseases has recently been undertaken and results of this survey will be available on our website in due course. The aim of the survey is to describe the current service provision of specialist palliative care for people with chronic respiratory disease (CRD) in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and to explore the interface between palliative care, respiratory and rehabilitation services in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
