INNOVATION IN RESPIRATORY CARE
BTS is delighted to invite applications for the 2008 IMPRESS Award for Innovation in Respiratory Care. This new award builds on the success of the 2007 BTS Silver Jubilee Awards and is being promoted jointly between the Society and the General Practice Airways Group (GPIAG). The Silver Jubilee Awards celebrated the excellence in respiratory healthcare across a range of areas. The theme for 2008 is Innovation in Respiratory Care, and the joint sponsorship arrangement reflects the aims of the IMPRESS project:-
"providing the clinical leadership required to drive high quality patient centred care across the traditional boundaries of secondary and primary care to integrate and improve the services for people with respiratory disease".
Applications that display innovation in any one or more of the following themes are welcome:
- Integration of primary and secondary care
- Promoting patient choice about where they receive their care
- Provision of a truly patient-centred service
- Offering support for those with long-term respiratory conditions
